Something to Think About-
"Not today, Lad!"
Lahinch Golf Course in Ireland is, I'm told, quite a challenging course. Green fees are expensive. The waiting list is long. On the day a registered golfer is scheduled to play, he pays his fee and approaches the first tee. The course marshal folds his arms across his chest and watches the initial drive from the tee. If the shot is sub-standard, the marshal approaches the unhappy fellow, soon to be even unhappier, places his hand on the golfer's shoulder, and says, "Not today, Lad!" Those dreaded words mean the golfer is unable to continue his round of golf, and is replaced by one of the waiting walk-ons. To add insult to injury, I'm told the unsuccessful golfer's green fees are not refunded! So the story goes.
In life, I am an imperfect child of God who often fails to achieve anything near perfection. How thankful I am to hear words like these: "But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life." (Titus 3:4-7) By God's grace, I do not hear the words, "Not today, Lad!" And neither do you!

Humor
A third-grade Sunday school teacher was giving a Bible lesson on the commandment, honor thy father and thy mother.
"Now, does anyone know a commandment for brothers and sisters?"
One sharp girl raised her hand and said, "'Thou shalt not kill.'"
-Jack Seberry, Grand Rapids, Michigan. Christian Reader, "Lite Fare."
Well that's all for now,
God Bless
