Pilgrim’s 3rd Grade Class on KSBJ (89.3 FM) TODAY!

Pilgrim’s third grade class was selected to sing Christmas carols on the Christian radio station KSBJ, 89.3 on your FM dial. The radio station came out and recorded the third grade class singing yesterday, and their beautiful voices will be aired TODAY, Thursday, December 6 at 5:40 p.m. Tune your radio at that time and listen. KSBJ plays Christmas music from Thanksgiving to Christmas, so is a good choice not only for Christian radio but also for Christmas radio.

Have you found the Perfect Present yet?

During the holidays, we spend a lot of time searching for presents.  There are a lot of people who want to convince us they have the perfect present for us to give to someone. The reality is that God is the only one who has the perfect gifts for us. To hear more on this theme and enrich your life, bring your family to worship during Advent. Spend this time to unwrap the different gifts God has already prepared for us and to take the time to worship and praise your Savior. Worship times in December are are follows:

Saturday evenings at 6:00
Sunday mornings at 8:15 or 10:45 (Sunday School/Bible Class at 9:30)
Wednesdays at 12 noon or 7:00 p.m. during Advent
December 23rd – 10:00 a.m. worship ONLY (no Sunday School or Saturday worship on the 22nd)
December 24th – 7:00 and 11:00 p.m. Candlelight with Holy Communion
December 25th – 10:00 a.m. Christmas Day with Communion
December 31st – 6:00 p.m. New Year’s Eve with Communion

Christmas Babysitting on Sunday, Dec. 9th, 12-5 p.m.

The Youth are going to be offering Christmas Babysitting on Sunday, December 9th after church, from 12:00 to 5:00. This would be a great time to get Christmas shopping done. The Cost is $25 per child with lunch provided. This fundraiser will support future youth trips and events.

Special Children’s Programs on Dec. 12th and 23rd

The early childhood children sang beautifully during worship on Dec. 2nd for their Happy Birthday Jesus presentation. There are a couple more opportunities to hear children tell about the birth of Christ. On Wednesday, December 12th, at 7:00 p.m., Pilgrim school students in grades 1-8 will present a family Christmas worship service. And on Sunday, December 23rd, at 10:00 a.m. Pilgrim Sunday School children will present their Christmas musical during the one worship service being held that Sunday. Come enjoy listening to songs and scripture as we revisit the age-old story of our Savior’s birth and celebrate that Christ, our Savior, is born!

Anyone interested in a DVD of any of these special presentations, contact Pastor Kaufmann at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Join us as we spread Christmas cheer with homebound members of our congregation on Sunday, Dec. 16th, starting at 3:30. We’ll meet at church and then carpool to various homes. So we know how many places we can visit, please SIGN UP on the table in the gathering area. Following the caroling will be a soup supper at the home of John and Peggy Dybala. Parents - bring the kids as the homebound love to see and hear the children. Come and help us sing of the birth of our Savior and bring joy to others this time of year.

Pictures, Pictures, Pictures!

It has been a number of years since a pictorial directory has been printed for Pilgrim church families, so we have decided to put one together again. Olan Mills will be at Pilgrim Jan. 10-12th to take you and your families’ picture for the directory. Every individual or family will receive a FREE 8x10 and a FREE directory. Of course, you will also have opportunity to purchase more photos if you so desire, but you are under no obligation to do so. We need EVERY church family to be photographed for this to be successful. Sign up for your appointment in the church foyer anytime during the month of December.

Humor – My Living Will

One evening a husband and a wife were talking, and the husband said to his wife, “I never want to live in a vegetative state, dependent on some machine and fluids from a bottle. If that ever happens, just pull the plug.”

The wife got up, unplugged his computer, and threw out his beer.
